HISTORY
Our family business was founded a half-century ago when
our dad, Eliahu Damatow, went to Paris to purchase
antiques. Once he discovered the Art Deco style, he was
smitten! He loved everything from the Art Nouveau to
the Art Deco eras and began buying, selling, and trading
pieces from our home. In the 70’s, Eli, as his friends
called him, opened his first gallery in Manhattan, then a second location plus a
warehouse to hold all of the treasures he was acquiring.
IN 1995,
beckoned by family, sunshine, and warm breezes, Eli
moved Artisan Antiques Art Deco to South
Florida. He was soon joined in the business by his two
children, David and Lisa, who now work together in the
business.
ABOUT PERIOD
ART DECO We specialize in pieces from the French
Art Deco period, which only spanned about 30 years. As
time passes, these vintage pieces become increasingly
more valuable as they become rare and harder to find.
POLICIES & PRACTICES Thanks to the way that Art
Deco pieces hold their value over time -- and because of
how rare they are becoming -- we offer our clientele a
unique return/exchange privilege. Anything that you
purchase from Artisan Antiques Art Deco may be returned
at any time for a 100% store credit (based on condition,
of course).
We work with the trade -- designers, decorators,
architects – as well as private individuals, collectors,
and museums. We not only sell everything Art Deco, we
are also happy to buy and trade, too. We will even
install our own locally-delivered chandeliers and
sconces.
As for getting items from us to you, we deliver in South
Florida and ship merchandise to everywhere else in the
world.
COME SEE! Everyone who visits our showroom in
Miami is awed by our extensive collection.
Between our five galleries, there are literally
thousands of beautiful pieces to tempt you. And we'll
be happy to check our huge warehouse to find a special
item for you.
Artisan Antiques
Art Deco is even listed in Zagat's, Goodrich, and Travel
channel as a must-see destination for visitors to South
Florida.
Artisan Antiques
